: Invitation to provide public comments – Online or through a community meeting
You are invited!
In the new budget, the Washington State Legislature allocated $14.5 million in funding (for the 2015-2017 biennium) to support marijuana education and youth prevention and for tobacco prevention and control activities. The Marijuana Prevention and Education and Tobacco Prevention and Control programs have been developing draft plans for how to spend these funds.
We are providing opportunities for community members to:
- Learn about ways state legislation (HB 2136) is guiding our decision-making.
- Provide comments before the draft plan is finalized.
We encourage you to contribute to this discussion in one of the following ways:
Comment on these plans at www.doh.wa.gov/MJtobaccoComments and complete the questionnaire provided. Submit your response by midnight on Friday, September 11.
