Margaret C. Holm, JD, RN, Nurse Consultant - Nursing Commission Unit

Ms. Holm's clinical career began with extensive work in the area of addiction, first inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency and then as a consultant to hospital Emergency Rooms. As a Master Addiction Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she has also worked in the field of Employee Assistance for 30 plus years with a strong expertise in the field of substance abuse. Having worked with Boeing and a major oil company, she has a critical understanding of the importance of identifying substance abuse for those working in safety sensitive jobs.
She has worked for the last 8 years as a Health Services Consultant in the Washington Health Professional Services Program (W.H.P.S.), the monitoring program for nurses in WA State. They work with many clients in the nursing field and provide consultation and training to health care facilities throughout the state. She also has developed a particular interest and expertise in the area of workplace issues and workplace bullying and have presented locally and nationally on the subject.
