We are pleased to announce the 7th annual Substance Abuse: A Community Response conference. This year our theme is "Building a Healthier Community Together." Using this theme as our basis the conference aims to increase awareness of new, proven, and/or promising techniques and programs that are being used to address all spectrums of substance abuse from prevention to intervention, treatment and aftercare.

On topic will be current trends and emerging information regarding abused substances, proven and alternative treatment strategies and innovations in prevention. The conference will be a two-day event. Highlights of the conference will include:
• Hope Research - Dr. Chan Hellman Ph.D.
Dr. Hellman will give the keynote address on Day 1 as well as a follow-up breakout session introducing research regarding hope and the impact it has relating to substance abuse, ACEs and resilience.
• Beyond ACEs 101 - Liz Davis. Ms. Davis will give the keynote address on Day 2 covering the neurobiology, epidemiology and resilience related to ACEs and the increase of new research over the past 20 years of using ACEs to reliabliy predict trouble later in life, including behavioral and workforce issues.
• "Paper Tigers" - A plenary viewing on Day 1 of this documentary filmed on Day 1 captures pain, danger, beauty and hope of teens struggling facing toxic stress in their lives and the educators armed with new science and fresh approaches that are changing these teens lives for the better.
Attendees will receive 6 CEU's for one-day attendance and 10 CEU's for two-day attendance.
Interested in sponsoring the event? We have many sponsorship opportunities we would be happy to discuss. Please contact Tamara Clark by email.
